about elizabeth

The landscape has always played an important role in my art practice and experience. I grew up by the coast, then spent two decades living in Western NSW before returning to the east coast, where I currently work from my studio in the Hunter Valley.

I’m drawn to the natural world and its paradoxes of fragility and resilience, stillness and flux, drought and flood, and destruction and renewal.  I enjoy exploring these concepts through work, where the felt experience of place and memory can converge to evoke feeling through a process of colour, materials and marks.
